Questions from buyers and suppliers
How Suitality works: accounts, prices and VAT, orders, delivery, quote requests, custom products and selling on Suitality.
About Suitality
What is Suitality?
Suitality is a B2B marketplace for hospitality supplies. European suppliers list their products, and hotels, restaurants, spas, yachts, private aviation and event venues buy from them, online or by quote request.
Who runs Suitality?
Suitality BV, a company based in Loenen aan de Vecht, in the Netherlands. See About Suitality.
Who sells the products?
Each product is sold and shipped by its supplier, whose name is shown on the product page. Suitality runs the marketplace: the catalogue, your account, the checkout and the quote requests.
Who can buy on Suitality?
Businesses in hospitality: hotels, restaurants, spas, yachts, private aviation, event venues and the agencies and procurement teams that buy for them. Prices are trade prices shown excl. VAT.
Account
Why create a trade account?
A trade account keeps your company details, VAT number and orders in one place, and fills in your quote requests for you. Create a trade account.
Is Suitality free for buyers?
Yes. Creating an account and sending quote requests is free for buyers.
Can I order for several venues?
Yes. Give the delivery address of each venue when you order. For a group order, send one quote request and list the venues and quantities in the details.
Prices and VAT
Are prices shown with or without VAT?
Prices are shown excl. VAT. Any VAT that applies to your order is shown at checkout before you pay.
Where do I give our VAT number?
In your trade account and in each quote request. The VAT number of a French company fills in automatically when you pick the company in the list.
Why are some products sold by pack?
Suppliers sell many consumables by carton or pack. The product page shows the pack size, the price per unit and the minimum order, and Add to cart adds the right quantity.
Can we get volume prices?
Yes. Add the products to your quote with the quantities you need and send the request. Each supplier replies with its volume prices.
Orders and payment
How do I pay?
Pay online at checkout with the methods shown there. For a quote, the payment terms are confirmed with the quote.
Can I order from several suppliers at once?
Yes. Add products from different suppliers to your cart. The cart groups them by supplier, and each supplier ships its own part of the order.
Is there a minimum order?
There is no minimum across the whole site. Each supplier sets its own: a minimum order amount in euros for its products, a minimum quantity per product counted in units, packs or cartons, or both. The minimum per product is shown on the product page and Add to cart adds it directly. The supplier's order amount is checked in the cart, supplier by supplier.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Write to hello@suitality.com as soon as possible with the order number. The conditions are in the user agreement.
Delivery
Where do suppliers deliver?
Suppliers deliver across Europe, directly to your venue.
How long does delivery take?
Each product shows the supplier's lead time. For a quote, the supplier confirms the lead time and the delivery date in its reply.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated at checkout from the products and the delivery address. For heavy or bulky items, or large volumes, the supplier prices transport in its quote.
Why can an order arrive in several deliveries?
Each supplier ships its own products, so an order with several suppliers arrives in several parcels or pallets.
Can you deliver to a yacht, a marina or an airport?
Give the exact delivery point in your quote request: port, marina, FBO or hangar. The supplier confirms what it can deliver and when.
A product arrived damaged. What should I do?
Write to hello@suitality.com with the order number and photos. We pass it to the supplier and follow up with you.
Quotes and volumes
How does a quote request work?
Use Add to quote on any product, check the quantities in your quote, then send the request. You can also describe what you need without choosing products. We pass the request to the suppliers concerned and each replies by email with prices, lead time and delivery.
Do I need to know the supplier?
No. Leave the supplier on Not sure and we send your request to the suppliers that carry the products.
We are opening a new property. Can you help?
Yes. See pre-opening OS&E, then send one quote request with the full list and the opening date.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Ask for them in a quote request. Samples depend on each supplier, who replies with what it can send.
Custom products
Can products carry our logo or our own packaging?
Many suppliers offer printing, custom packaging or made-to-measure sizes. Choose Yes or To discuss under customisation in the quote request, and the supplier replies with its options, minimums and lead time.
Can we ask for a colour or size that is not listed?
Yes. Describe it in the quote request. The supplier tells you whether it can make it and at what quantity.
Selling on Suitality
How do I sell on Suitality?
