Questions from spa and wellness

All buyer questions

Where can I buy spa supplies at trade prices?

Suitality lists spa and wellness supplies from independent European suppliers at trade prices excl. VAT. A trade account is free.

Can I buy bulk shampoo and body wash refills for dispensers?

Yes. The Amenities Bulk Refill collection lists bulk formats, and the Soap Holders and Dispensers collection lists the dispensers. Check that the refill format fits your dispenser model.

Is there a minimum order for spa amenities?

There is no site-wide minimum. Each supplier sets a minimum order amount in euros, a minimum quantity per product, or both, shown on the product page.

How many towels does a spa need per guest?

Count the towels used per visit in each area, multiply by visits on a busy day, then plan three sets in circulation: in use, in the laundry and on the shelf.

Can I order branded spa amenities or embroidered textiles?

Send a quote request with your logo files, quantities per design and date needed. Several suppliers can reply with prices and lead times.

Do refreshing towels work for spas and gyms?

Individually packed oshibori towels need no warming cabinet or laundry and can be chilled for use after a sauna or a workout.

Which hair dryers suit a gym changing room?

Wall mounted hair dryers stay at the vanity and suit heavy use. Check power, cable length and any shut-off feature in the product details.

Do suppliers deliver spa supplies across Europe?

Yes. Each supplier delivers across Europe from its own warehouse, so an order with several suppliers arrives in separate deliveries.

Are spa supply prices shown excl. VAT?

Yes, trade prices are shown excl. VAT.

Can I buy scent diffusers for my spa?

The HD Fragrances supplier page lists scent diffusion systems and fragrances. Ask about refill frequency to plan fragrance as a recurring order.

Buying guide: spa and wellness supplies

This page is for spa directors, hotel spa managers, wellness centre operators and gym managers who buy supplies for treatment rooms, relaxation areas, wet areas and changing rooms. It brings together the departments on Suitality a spa draws on: amenities and bulk refills, dispensers, towels and bath linen, slippers, hair dryers and mirrors, refreshing towels, scent diffusion and hygiene products.

Independent European suppliers list their products at trade prices excl. VAT and deliver from their own warehouses. Each product page shows the pack size, the price per unit and the supplier's minimum order, plus lead time, carton and pallet data when the supplier provides them. Standard quantities can be ordered online and paid at checkout. For a new spa, several sites, branded amenities or large textile orders, send one quote request to several suppliers and compare their replies by email.

Spa supplies by area: treatment rooms, wet areas and changing rooms

A spa buys for several distinct areas, and each one uses supplies at a different rate. Changing rooms and showers consume amenities and towels with every visit. Treatment rooms use linen, towels and small items per treatment. Reception and relaxation areas need fewer items, but they set the first impression: a refreshing towel on arrival, a consistent scent, a quiet place to rest.

Listing your needs area by area gives you a working OS&E list and makes it clear which items are recurring consumables and which are one-off equipment. The sections below follow that order and link to the collections and suppliers on Suitality.

Spa amenities and bulk refills for showers and changing rooms

Most spas and gyms now fill wall mounted dispensers from bulk containers instead of putting out small bottles. EU rules on single-use plastics have pushed many venues towards refills and dispensers, and refills also cut the time housekeeping spends replacing part-used bottles. Browse bulk amenity refills and the matching soap holders and dispensers.

For individual products, see shampoos and conditioners, body wash and lotions, hand wash and lotions, with soap bars for treatment room basins. Amenity suppliers listing on Suitality include CleanBrands, Papoutsanis Amenities, Olive Care and Skin Essentials.

How to size refill quantities

Count the dispensers in each area and note what each one holds. Estimate how many visits empty a dispenser by watching consumption over two or three weeks, then multiply up to your reorder cycle. Keep at least one full refill per product in reserve so a late delivery never leaves a shower empty.

Check the pack size on the product page. Bulk refills are sold by container, and a supplier may set its minimum per product in cartons, so a monthly order may round up to a full carton.

What to check in amenity specifications

  • Container volume, and if it fits your dispensers or needs a separate pump or cartridge.
  • Fragrance and range continuity, so shampoo, body wash and hand wash match across the spa.
  • The ingredient list and any documents the supplier can provide for your records.
  • Label languages for the countries where you operate.
  • For dispensers, the fixing method, the lock type and how refills are changed.

Moving from small bottles to refill systems

Switching a changing room to dispensers is a one-off project. Count every shower and vanity, choose one dispenser model per area and order the dispensers with the first refills in the same quote request, so the formats match. Keep a few small bottles for treatment suites or guests who ask for them, and plan the change for a quiet week so fitting does not close showers at peak times.

Spa towels, bathrobes and slippers

Textiles take up more storage than any other spa supply. Browse towels and bath linen for bath sheets, hand towels and treatment room towels. For bathrobes in volume or with embroidery, describe what you need in a quote request so suppliers can reply with options. Add towel and bathrobe hooks for changing rooms and treatment rooms, bath mats for wet areas and spa slippers for guests.

How many towels a spa needs

List the towels used per visit in each area: a bath sheet in the changing room, a hand towel at the vanity, covers and towels on the treatment bed, a towel by the pool or sauna. Multiply by the visits on a busy day, then by the number of sets in circulation: one in use, one in the laundry, one on the shelf. Add a reserve for stains and loss.

When you compare towels, check the weight in grams per square metre, the fibre, the size and the colour. A heavier towel feels more generous, but it takes longer to dry and costs more to launder. White is easier to match on reorder and to treat for stains.

Slippers in wet areas

Disposable slippers are usually counted at one pair per visit. Check the sole for grip on wet floors, the sizes available and if pairs are packed individually. Order in cartons, as slippers are light but bulky to store.

Refreshing towels for spa reception, relaxation rooms and gyms

A refreshing towel at reception, after a sauna or after a workout is a simple gesture guests notice. Individually packed oshibori towels need no warming cabinet or laundry, and can be chilled in a fridge for use after heat treatments. The Oshibori Concept range offers scented refreshing towels made in France. For vanity areas and reception desks, see wipes and tissue boxes.

Scent diffusion and atmosphere

A consistent scent across reception, corridors and relaxation areas is part of a spa's identity. HD Fragrances lists scent diffusion systems and fragrances. Size a diffuser by the volume of the space and the airflow, and ask the supplier about refill frequency so you can plan fragrance as a consumable line.

Relaxation areas also need seating that holds up to robes and damp skin. See the chairs and sofas collection, and for a lounge or terrace, bioethanol and decorative fireplaces in the furniture department.

Changing room equipment for spas and gyms

Changing rooms carry the heaviest use in any wellness venue. Wall mounted hair dryers stay at the vanity and suit busy gyms, while handheld models suit treatment suites and smaller spas. The JVD range covers hair dryers and other changing room equipment. Check power, cable length and any automatic shut-off described by the supplier.

At the vanity, plan mirrors, combs, shower caps, small items from toiletries and scales. Add bins for towels and general waste, and hand dryers in washrooms.

Hygiene and cleaning in wet areas

Wet areas and treatment rooms need a cleaning routine guests can see working. Browse hygiene and cleaning supplies for daily use and disinfection and fogging solutions for treatment rooms and changing areas, including the Purifog Northwest range. Ask the supplier about the products the system uses and the time a room must stay empty after treatment.

For moving linen and stock between areas, see the carts and trolleys in the housekeeping department.

Hotel spas: matching guest room standards

A hotel spa often uses the same amenity range and towel quality as the guest rooms, which keeps the experience consistent and the purchasing simpler. Compare the spa list with the hotel room supplies and look at the Luxury Collection for suites and premium treatment rooms. Tea service in the relaxation room can come from the coffee and tea collection.

A restocking routine for spas and gyms

Consumables in a spa run down at a steady rate, so a fixed routine works better than reacting to empty shelves. Set a par level for each refill, towel set, slipper carton and fragrance refill, count stock on the same day each week and reorder anything below par. Group orders by supplier so each one clears that supplier's minimum.

Allow for the lead time shown on the product page, and raise par levels before holidays, events or the start of a membership season. Keep a short note of what each area used every month: it makes the next budget and the next quote request far more accurate.

Ordering spa supplies online or by quote request

Each supplier sets its own minimum: a minimum order amount in euros, a minimum quantity per product counted in units, packs or cartons, or both. There is no site-wide minimum. Product pages show pack size, price per unit and minimum order, and the lead time, carton and pallet data when the supplier provides them.

For weekly or monthly restocking, order online and pay at checkout. Suitality BV receives the payment and the order is split by supplier, each delivering across Europe from its own warehouse. For a spa opening, several sites, branded amenities, embroidered textiles or full changing room packages, use the request for quote page. One request reaches several suppliers, and each replies by email with prices, lead time and delivery.

What to put in a spa quote request

  • The type of venue, number of treatment rooms, showers and lockers, and visits on a busy day.
  • Each item with quantities, preferred size, colour and fragrance, and any reference you already use.
  • Dispenser models in place, so refills are quoted in a compatible format.
  • Branding or custom packaging, with logo files and units per design.
  • Delivery address, storage space on site and the date you need the goods.
